FLASH : Opening of 19 new registration and voting centers (West Dept.)

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announced the opening of 19 new Voting and Registration Centers (CIVs) in the West Department. This brings the total number of operational CIVs in the West to 29, as of this Friday.

The list of the nineteen (19) new CIVs is attached to this note.

Indeed, the opening of these new registration centers is part of the gradual rollout of the voter registration system, in accordance with the electoral institution’s operational plan, and aims to ensure progressive coverage of the entire West Department.

While continuing its efforts to make all CIVs operational throughout the country, the CEP encourages citizens who meet the conditions stipulated by the Electoral Decree to register on the electoral roll, a prerequisite for exercising their right to vote.
