Developers can provide context from repositories, design mockups, Slack conversations, and meeting notes, after which Copilot can distribute work across multiple agents running in parallel, track their progress, and return results such as pull requests for review, the company explained in the post.

    Revamped app could improve productivity

For developers, the revamped app could improve productivity and accelerate software development by reducing the need to switch between coding environments, project management tools, and other development resources for code completions, debugging, or other related activities, said Amit Kumar Jena, AI development head at IT consulting firm Kanerika.

Instead, the revamped app can be used to delegate broader tasks to cloud-based agents, which execute the work independently and submit their proposed changes as pull requests for review, he added.
