    Celebration : 216th anniversary of Mexico's independence

On Friday, September 11, Haiti’s Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé attended the celebration of the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s independence, held at the residence of Ambassador José de Jesús Cisneros de Chávez in Pétion-ville.

The ceremony was attended by members of the government, representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to Haiti, and various other dignitaries.

In his address, the Mexican Ambassador hailed the ties of friendship and cooperation uniting the two countries and highlighted the importance of the efforts undertaken by Haitian authorities to create favorable conditions for holding upcoming elections.

On behalf of the Haitian government, the Prime Minister extended his warmest wishes to the Mexican people while reaffirming Haiti’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Mexico in areas of mutual interest.

Fils-Aimé also reiterated his government’s pledge to continue efforts aimed at fostering stability, dialogue, and a lasting return to democratic order.
