Arapaho Gold will seek to extend his unbeaten run at Newbury in the Group Two Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef. Michael Dods’ runner has won all four starts, including the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes at York, Sky Sports News reports. Arapaho Gold will carry a three-pound penalty in the upcoming race.
Arapaho Gold’s rivals
One of Arapaho Gold’s main rivals will be Jolivette, trained by Andrew Balding and ridden by Colin Keane. She is the only filly among the declared runners. In her previous start at York, she finished third behind Libertango.
Other contenders include Cut A Dash and Nabati. Cut A Dash finished fourth in the Coventry Stakes but has not confirmed that form since. Nabati, from Charlie Appleby’s team, was third behind Forbidden Fire in the Flying Scotsman; Sky Sports News noted that a drop in distance to six furlongs could suit him.

Other races at Newbury
Redorange and Starlust will run in the Group Three Dubai International Airport World Trophy Stakes. Redorange, trained by Clive Cox, won the Listed City Walls at York in July and finished well behind the leaders in the Nunthorpe. He will be ridden by Callum Rodriguez in this race.
Starlust won the 2024 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint but has not won since. Most recently, he finished second in the Nunthorpe and fourth at the Curragh. Other declared runners include First Instinct, Shagraan and Naana’s Sparkle.
In the Dubai Duty Free Autumn Cup, Primo Lara will compete against French Duke. After moving from Jack Morland to Jane Chapple-Hyam, Primo Lara recorded two wins in three starts and won at Kempton. Ryan Moore will ride him. French Duke previously finished second at York, while other runners include Insanity and Pearl River.
