Siwan Mair has been confirmed as the permanent chief executive of Welsh Gymnastics, having served as the acting CEO since December 2025.
She has been an integral part of the Welsh Gymnastics senior leadership team since becoming director of development in 2015.
Mair has recently overseen Wales’ most successful Commonwealth Games in artistic gymnastics, with historic medal-winning performances at Glasgow 2026.
Ruby Evans took gold in the women’s floor event, while identical twins Abigail – in the women’s vault – and Emily Roper in the women’s in the uneven bars won bronze medals – contributing to Wales’ overall haul of 31 medals.
“I’m incredibly excited about what lies ahead and honoured to have the opportunity to lead a sport I genuinely love and care deeply about,” Mair told Welsh Gymnastics.
“Over the past 14 years, I’ve seen first-hand what makes our community so special: our clubs, our people, our values, and our commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
“It’s a privilege to lead the next chapter, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve together.”
