On September 19, in the match against Metz, which ended in a 2-2 draw, Boakye scored a goal and provided an assist. According to the outlet, he scored in four consecutive league matches.

The 25-year-old footballer joined Saint-Étienne in July 2024 after playing for Austrian side Wolfsberger. He made 43 league appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists.

In the previous season in France, Boakye played 31 Ligue 2 matches, scored five goals and provided nine assists. He can play as an attacking midfielder and in various positions across the forward line.
WAFA academy graduate
Boakye began his career at the West Africa Football Academy in Sogakope, Ghana. In the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, he made 29 appearances, scored nine goals, provided 13 assists and was named player of the match seven times.
These figures earned him a nomination for the Ghana league’s player of the season award. In January 2021, in WAFA’s match against Liberty Professionals, Boakye scored a goal and assisted Sampson Agyapong.
